Dear Family,
Things are going well here in AYT. We’ve been busy with language school and spending a lot of time with language partners and new Turkish friends. I posted a picture with my last blog of me and Haluk a new friend and at present a great language partner (just click here) He’s studying at the big University. He’s about to finish a degree in food engineering (which would prepare him for a life of restaurant and hotel kitchen inspections). Language is coming relatively quickly, and we’re getting lots of opportunities to use our new grammar and words each day. This Wednesday Katie and I have volunteered to practice conversational English with Turks and are happy for another venue to meet new people and share with them the good news. we had a great study with a new Turkish friend on Sunday and are hoping to have a follow up study with him and his Russian wife at our regular Sunday evening meeting.
The weather is slowly getting better and the crowd of Turks on the street seems to grow exponentially with the weather. It’s hard to believe we have been here three months coming up in March. Please pray for us as we prepare to exit and reenter the country. It turns out it is less expensive to do that then to get a residence permit at this point in time. It turns out that we can exit and return in one day and we can buy bacon at the port of the tiny Greek island just three hours from here. We’ll send pictures of our trip with our next report from the Turkland.
Our deepest love and thanks for your prayers and concern for this ministry to Turks.

Mini-Seminar on the Virus that has Changed a Continent and the World
On Saturday, March 15th, Landmark Church will host a free seminar on HIV. As you know this deadly virus has taken the lives of millions. Even some of the lives of the beautiful children you support.

About 100X
100 X Missions Purpose
I. Loving Our Neighbor
On the last Wednesday that Jesus was on this earth in his earthly ministry, during his last public sermon to the people, and the last confrontation of the Pharisees to discredit our Lord—Jesus tells them and us to LOVE our NEIGHBOR as we love ourselves.
II. Humanitarian Aid
- Providing food to the hungry.
- Providing drink to the thirsty
- Providing shelter to the needy.
- Providing health to the sick.
- We will all give an account for these things.
III. Caring for Orphans and Widows
- James made it clear that visiting the fatherless and the widows in their affliction is pure and spotless religion.
- 100X aims to be a testament of the fulfilling of this passage
IV. Equipping
- Providing and training our brothers, so they can make it on their own through the power of Christ.
- To educate and teach about our Savior, so they can “GO” and teach the good news to their people.
Other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop –a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. Matt 13:8
Blessings!
