Gen 1:26

“Let us make man in our image.” Gen 1:26

Mount Everest, The Grand Canyon, and Niagara Falls reflect God’s creativity.

You, however, reflect God.

You and I are made in His image.

Made = created with and on purpose.

That’s the force behind our mission. The children you help support and rescue are made in God’s image (just like YOU)!

Blessings,

Paul

Parable of the Talents

Matthew 25 – The Parable of the Talents.

What I like about the parable of the talents is that it gives some down to earth requirements.  Well what do I mean ?  Well:

  1. Jesus expects us to be productive
  2. Our productivity should be measured.  I mean our productivity should be quantifiable.  Numbers.
  3. There are expectations for success.
  4. You should do your Best at all times.
  5. The status quo is unacceptable
  6. There are rewards for success and consequences for failure.  It is no cum bay a.  It is cut and dry.  Produce.
  7. Now I know with this one I would get some differences of opinion BUT I firmly believe that our Lord and God has enable everyone to be a ten talent person.  I do not believe that a goal would be given by our King the author of fairness and grace if it was not achievable.  Everyone CAN BE a ten talent person.  Not everyone wants to be.  You can do it.

Imitate Me

I Cor. 4:16

“I urge you. Imitate me.”

Paul was setting an example he felt should be followed.

He was bold about it.

Can we be so direct?

What in your life are you willing to say, “Imitate me. You should learn from this example.”

In our society and times it might sound arrogant. But in the first century, it was how you learned. You became like your teacher. Jesus said in John 13 “every student becomes like the teacher.”

Let become more intentional about what and how we teach. Let’s set an example worth imitating.

Blessings!
Paul
