Peru Orphans

The 100X Team just returned from Lima Peru.

Every time you see a hurting child, an abused child or a hungry child; you know it’s not right. It breaks your heart. And you wish each little one could be rescued.

Abused and abandoned children are left on the streets and in dumpsters. Many are taken to human holding tanks until a judge determines which institution they will be placed in. There is no way to describe the conditions these children face.

Even the fact that Hector, Ceila, and Frank were separated from each other and held in two different holding tanks after their mother tried to kill them by feeding them rat poison – you don’t want to believe it – it’s hard to imagine a mother doing that to her children. But that type story is multiplied thousands of times in Peru (and many other countries as well.)

A Child of Peru's Poverty

It’s a blessing that Mike and Chalean Kennedy have dedicated their lives to rescuing as many orphans as possible.

As we visited their work, it was awesome to see how happy and healthy the children are…
