The 100X Team just returned from Lima Peru.
Every time you see a hurting child, an abused child or a hungry child; you know it’s not right. It breaks your heart. And you wish each little one could be rescued.
Abused and abandoned children are left on the streets and in dumpsters. Many are taken to human holding tanks until a judge determines which institution they will be placed in. There is no way to describe the conditions these children face.
Even the fact that Hector, Ceila, and Frank were separated from each other and held in two different holding tanks after their mother tried to kill them by feeding them rat poison – you don’t want to believe it – it’s hard to imagine a mother doing that to her children. But that type story is multiplied thousands of times in Peru (and many other countries as well.)
It’s a blessing that Mike and Chalean Kennedy have dedicated their lives to rescuing as many orphans as possible.
As we visited their work, it was awesome to see how happy and healthy the children are…
The plan is to rescue as many as possible!!

This first video has some glitches at the start then smooths out…

Paul, it is really amazing what you are doing with the pittiful little ones and I salute you for what you are doing for them! To tell you the truth, that is also the legacy I am hoping to achieve: to build orphanages in the various states of China. I am not a citizen from China but during my search for adoption 3 years ago, I learnt about the states they are living in and it really pained my heart so building orphanages is also the wish I have. Wish that day will not be far for me and all the best to your mission.
Very heart warming! I LOVE that hymn and she sings it beautifully! I live in Prattville also! My son and his daughter just left for Peru this past Sunday night, for a vacation bible school for 10 days. He went with the new church that meets at the Legends where John Schmit is the minister. My son goes to a different church, but a friend ask him to go! I am sure giving to those kids is very, very rewarding. I wish that I made lots of money to give! If I ever do- I will!
Paul, you did a great job with this and it was awesome having you here in Peru with us! It is an honor to work for our Savior along with you, John, and 100X Missions.
Blessings to you all,
Mike, Chelene, and The New Life Children’s Home
